Premier FC 15 Preview

On Saturday April 5, 2014 Premier Fighting Championships brings their 15th installment to the beautiful Chez Joseph in Agawam, MA. The one thing is guaranteed is the Promoter/Matchmaker Karyn Wesch has done her best to bring the fans an action packed fight card.

The night is going to involve 14 fights, 3 for titles. Some PFC usual’s will highlight this card, sprinkled in with some new faces.

MAIN CARD

TITLE Jessy Miele (IMBCT 2-0) vs Pam Sorenson (The Cellar 3-0-1)

145lb

Jessy returns to PFC for her 3rd fight against Pam. Jesse is not new to Premier and last time that she was in the cage she finished the match with a TKO. Pam is also know for her striking with a nickname like “Bam”. I expect this to be a stand up match but would not be surprised if Jessy tries to finish this one on the ground.

Aslan Otcheyev (Gracie CT 1-0) vs P.T. Ortiz (Spa City 5-0)

145lb

Not to much info out there for these two fighters. I do know that Aslan is coming off of a win at Cage Titans. Both guys look to have a ground game but may come out trying to put their striking on display.

Mike Baker (MSB 2-2-1) vs Vito Resto (Gladiator 0-0)

Superheavyweight

The long awaited title defense of “Big” Mike Baker. Seeing Mike around the cage at PFC. He has the MMA experience in this one but with guys this size you never know. Vito trains out of Gladiator BJJ and should have the advantage on the ground. They key with guys this size is to see how the first round goes. This one will not go the difference with 265+ pounders in the cage.

Undercard

Tim Flores (Legal Beatdown 3-1) vs Adam Mimms (Spa City 1-0)

125lb

Tim has been on a tear since losing his first fight at a higher weight class. Tim has a great ground game that has been displayed at various NAGAs and is the AMMO lightweight champion. As far as MMA he likes to throw bombs and lots of them. Adam has also won via TKO at a previous Kaged Kombat. So I am expecting to see a good stand up war.

Scott Gorgone (Mass BJJ 3-0) vs Angel Laboy (Independent 3-5)

135lb

Scott vs Angel is set to be an extremely fast paced match. While the records may not look it but I think this may be one of the best matched fights on the card. Scott comes in with 2 victories via submission, while Angel has some submissions under his belt as well. The key to this fight is going to be in the scrambles/transitions. This is going to be a fun one to watch.
